Equistride^TM is re-processed layered nylon, made into easily blendable pieces to suit both sand and grit sand. When mixed and laid on a correctly constructed base, it produces a riding surface which does not ride ‘deep’ and gives a light, slightly springy action which is kind on the musculo-skeletal frame of the horse.
     With a private arena, the fibre surface needs to be levelled every few weeks by using either a weighted section of welded mesh or a lightweight farm gate towed by an all terrain vehicle. A build up of fibre and grit sand will slowly build up against the kick board and this should be raked away and any track that is formed should be recovered immediately. On outdoor arenas no watering is required except in very dry conditions where dust suppression is desired.
